Quinoa Kichdi/Dinner Recipe:
Quinoa Khicchdi is helpful for weight loss.A healthier twist to an already healthy dish, Quinoa and Vegetable Pulao transforms into a tasty, flavorful dish for health freaks!Ingredients:
- 1 cup Quinoa
- 1 Tbsp Urad Daal
- 1 Tbsp Masoor Daal
- 1 Tbsp rice
- 1 Tsp Olive Oil
- 1 Onion
- 2 Tomato
- Some Green Peas
- 1 Carrot chopped
- 1 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 2 cups water
- Salt to taste
- Chilli to taste
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp all spice mix
- 1/2tsp turmeric
How To Make Quinoa Khicchdi:
- In a bowl add all daal, rice and Quinoa wash it thoroughly
- Now in a pressure cooker heat olive oil, add cumin seeds, onions and cook.
- Than add tomatoes once soften add all the veggies with salt and other spices.
- Add Quinoa daal mixture with water bring it to a a boil once boiled cover with lid and cook for 2-3 whistles.
- Serve warm for dinner.
Quinoa And Vegetable Pulao:
Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa, soaked for 1 hour
- 7-8 button mushrooms
- ¼ cup green peas
- 1½ tsps oil
- 2 spring onions with greens
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 4-5 cloves
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- 4 green chillies
- 2 cups vegetable stock
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup milk
Method:
1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
2. Slice spring onion bulbs. Reserve the greens.
3. Add cumin seeds, cloves and garlic cloves to the pan.
4. Slit green chillies without
cutting through and add alongwith sliced spring onion bulbs and saute well.
5. Chop spring onion greens and
add.
6. Quarter mushrooms and add. Toss and saute well.
7. Add quinoa and mix well. Add
vegetable stock, salt, stir to mix and cook.
8. Add green peas and mix well. Add milk, stir to mix, cover and cook
on medium heat till fully done. Keep stirring once a while. 9. Serve hot.
Quinoa Chickpeas Poha (Lunch Recipe):
Ingredients;
4-5 Tbsp cooked Quinoa
1 cup boiled chickpeas
1 onion
1 tomato
1 tsp Desi Ghee (optional)
1 tsp olive oil
Mustard Seeds
Some Curry Leaves
Salt to Taste
1 tsp spice mix
1/2 tsp turmeric
Cook Quinoa
In a pan heat 1 tsp ghee and add 1 cup Quinoa and roast on low to medium heat.
once starts to pop add 1 and 3/4 cups of water bring it to a boil and cover with a lid and cook on low heat for 12-15 minutes.

Cook Quinoa Poha For Weight Loss:
- In a pan heat olive oil, add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
- Once starts to crackle add onions.
- Once the onions are light brown add tomatoes.
- Once soft add salt and other spice mix well and add boiled chickpeas and 4-5 Tbsp cooked Quinoa.
- Mix well and cook for few more minutes.
- Your Quinoa Poha is ready to serve
