Quinoa Salad For Weight Loss:

It is oil free and perfect filling vegan meal for lunch and dinner.
Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup boiled and salted (cooled) rajma (red kidney beans)
  • 1/4 cup boiled and salted (cooled) quinoa
  • 2 medium cucumber
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 green chilli
  • 2 small carrot
  • 1 medium tomato
  • Pink Himalayan salt as needed
  • 2-3 sprigs of mint leaves or coriander leaves
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1/3 tsp roasted jeera powder
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp ACV(Apple Cider Vinegar)
  • 4-5 cashew nuts (vegan mayo
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 tsp roasted sesame seeds

Method:


  1. Add 1/2 cup boiled and salted red kidney beans.
  2. Add 1/4 cup boiled and salted quinoa.
  3. Add 2 medium size chopped cucumber.
  4. Add 1 medium size chopped onion.
  5. Add chopped green chilli.
  6. Add 2 small carrots slice.
  7. Add 1 chopped tomato.
  8. Add salt as needed.
  9. Add 2-3 spring of mint or coriander leaves.
  10. Add 1 spring curry leaves.
  11. Add 1/3 tsp roasted jeera powder.
  12. Add 4 cloves garlic.
  13. Add 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar.
  14. Add 4-5 cashew nuts.
  15. Add lemon juice of half lemon.
  16. Add 2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds.
  17. And enjoy.

How To Cook Quinoa In Pressure Cooker:

I'm sharing a recipe to cook fluffy and non sticky quinoa in pressure cooker.
Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup quinoa
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Salt.

Method:


  1. Add 1/2 cup quinoa in a bowl.
  2. Add some water.
  3. Allow the quinoa to soak for at least 5 minutes.
  4. After 5 minutes of soaking to rinse the quinoa by stirring it around the ball and rub it gently.
  5. Discard the water and add in some more water and repeat the same process until the water runs clear.
  6. Once the quinoa rinsed well keep it on a strainer for few minutes.
  7. Add 3/4 cup of water in pressure cooker.
  8. Add salt as needed.
  9. Once the water starts to boil add the rinsed quinoa.
  10. Stir it and close the cooker.
  11. Once the steam comes through the Hope plays the weight on the Hope.
  12. Cook it on the high flame.
  13. After the first whistle put the flame on the lowest for seven minutes.
  14. After seven minutes turn off the heat and opened the cooker after pressure has released by itself.
  15. After 10 minutes opened the cooker.
  16. Allow it to cool down lightly.
  17. Transfer it to a bowl.
